About

I build software for hard, non-obvious problems.

I'm Cedric Julien, a computer science student with a habit of building things that go well beyond coursework. My projects span real-time graphics, desktop tooling, AI-assisted interfaces, and cross-platform mobile — driven by a constant obsession with detail and performance.

When I'm not in the editor, I'm thinking about optics, design systems, and how software can feel more like a crafted object than a utility.

Selected Work

Electron · WebGL2 · Optical Rendering

Device Optical Aid (DOA)

A real-time desktop app that pre-distorts what's rendered on screen in software, using a configurable per-user Point Spread Function model. Built with Electron and WebGL2 fragment shaders, with Zernike-polynomial PSF modeling driving the optical compensation pipeline.

Chrome Extension · Gaze Tracking · Machine Learning

TL;DR

An AI-powered, gaze-aware study and reading assistant that tracks where you're looking to surface contextual summaries and definitions in real time. Built to make dense reading material less painful.

Python · CLI · Local Voice AI

Chuchote

A local-first, hands-free voice assistant for Ollama models — wake-word activation, Whisper speech-to-text, Piper text-to-speech, and real-time barge-in. Runs entirely offline, with no cloud calls. Published on PyPI.
